Malachi sets the stage for the people of Israel to understand the coming of Jesus, and the Gospel writers pick up on it as One coming to “baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” But what does this mean? If we fail to grasp the full significance of it, then we will be hindered in experiencing it. May God open our eyes to recognize and walk in the fullness of this truth.
