Ever since the giving of the Law on Mt. Sinai in the form of a covenant, the people of Israel had failed miserably in keeping it. The real problem was the inability of the people, so Jeremiah told his fellow Jews that God would soon institute a new covenant that would accommodate this human failure factor. What he laid out is a remedy that super charges every believer in Jesus to follow after God and walk in freedom. Now, that’s an amazing promise!
