Both Jesus and John the Baptist encountered the tragedy of loss growing up. Both were shaped by it. Both became the greatest of heroes. Both died for their mission. Jesus, of course, the God-Man, secured salvation for all who would believe while John pointed others to Him. We too are being shaped by the crises we encounter for bad or good. And we too will step into our destiny as either the hardened or the hero. It’s that simple, and it’s our choice. Today, let’s make it a good one!
