It is not too hard to fall into the trap of our prayer time becoming an endless repetition of requests. We offer our prayer list up to God mechanically and passionlessly, perhaps hoping that with a few extra “Our Fathers” He will grant us our wishes…uh, requests. So what then IS God looking for in our prayers as He anxiously awaits answering them?
