As Jesus ministered to the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4, showing her that as the Living Water He could satisfy her inner ache for love and heal her brokenness, so also in John 6 Jesus presents Himself as the Living Bread that can satisfy the crowd’s spiritual hunger. John, however, uses two stories to set up this pivotal teaching that proves to be too shocking for even some of His followers. Jesus’ truth declarations will always divide the crowds. How about you?
