May 30, 2026 – The Book of Enoch has gained tremendous notoriety over recent years. It’s story of fallen angels and their giant offspring has even captured the minds of many well-meaning scholars, some of which suggest we use the book to interpret Scripture. Unfortunately, this is not new. Others, the likes of Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, used extra-biblical books to form his aberrant theology. The original story of “the sons of God” is found in Genesis 6. Are these fallen angels that Moses is referring to? And what is the actual purpose of this story, anyway? Let’s dig in this week and next. As we shall see, though the implications are very far reaching, they touch very close to home!
