“Killing My Old Man.” I was both horrified and admittedly curious what Petra’s (a Christian rock band in the ’80s) new album had produced. It revealed a timeless truth of one’s conversion: the old me dies and a new me is created. Not “a better version of myself” as the popular slogan goes, or a new Me 2.0, but a radically different me that Christ wants to live through.
