Zeal is not an emotion but a resolute conviction. Though it impacts emotion and emotion may intensify it, it’s flames can be doused. What did John mean when he said about Jesus clearing the temple: “Zeal for your house will consume me”? This same zeal can foster tremendous work for Christ’s kingdom. But how do we ignite it?
