Mar 07, 2026 – Recently, we have seen great examples of godly zeal in those like Jesus, Phineas, and David. Today, however, we will take a close look at how a godly man by the name of Lot lost any zeal he had for the Lord and chose compromise over character. We’ll start with the simple question: where is Sodom located? This will lead us to the most likely way in which God chose to destroy it—or should I say obliterate it! We shall see Lot’s fatal attraction to the things of this world, the extensive, irreversible loss he incurred as a result, and his apparent lack of genuine repentance.
