Mar 28, 2026 – When Jesus foretold Peter’s future denial of Him, this scrappy disciple adamantly brushed aside such prophetic and pathetic lack of devotion. Never! Surely, Jesus was mistaken. Peter’s zeal surfaced and died within hours of each other. When tested, it was proven faulty, a shallow display of loyalty. Peter, however, repented. But then so did Judas, it seems. What was the marked difference? And then, more to the point, how might we follow in Peter’s restorative steps toward finding a more grounded zeal that endures personal failure and continues to shine after our worst moments?
