When we feel attacked, something inside us wants to push back… or worse! Paul understands this and encourages Timothy to respond gently to those who attack his faith, without fighting back. Heated or arrogant arguing actually works against winning the lost, who are held captive in Satan’s trap like a slave. Jesus did not retaliate when verbally attacked. But how do we do this?
