We are a people who get easily attached to the things surrounding us: foods, old habits, sports teams, indulging hobbies, the next promotion, even naps. These may even be sacred to us! We know this by the anger we feel when someone belittles them or takes them from us! The truth is we take none of these with us into the next life. Equally true is the fact that Jesus has already asked us to surrender these to follow Him. So why so much anger when they are taken from us? The answer may be more simple and profound than you think!
