Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God.We believe in one God, the creator of all things, in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that by one man, Adam, sin entered the world and death by sin; therefore, all men have sinned and are lost without hope of salvation apart from the grace of God.We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sinless perfection and voluntary death upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for all sinners; that He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and is seated at the Father’s right hand, from whence He will return with power and glory. We believe that salvation is a gift of God by grace, that eternal life is received by personal faith in Jesus Christ alone and that works of obedience to Christ are evidence of, not requirements for, salvation.

We believe in life after death; that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust; that the just will be raised to everlasting life in heaven and the unjust raised to eternal punishment in hell.

OUR MANDATE: We are committed to the following:

1. The Bible – Privately in our quiet times and publicly in both small and large groups by hearing, reading, studying and practically applying to our lives.“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

– II Timothy 3:16-17

2. Worship – We are passionate about Jesus. We are exuberant and enthusiastic in our praise using our minds, voices and bodies to bless the Lord.“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”

– John 4:23

3. Prayer – We are earnest in prayer both privately and corporately. We are desperate for His will to be revealed His purpose to be fulfilled and His blessings to be poured out on us.“‘It is written,’ he said to them, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it a ‘den of robbers.’’”

– Matthew 21:13

4. Relationships – Lives are changed in the context of relationships. We seek to be transparent and to genuinely love one another in spiritual, emotional and practical ways.“From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

– Ephesians 4:16

5. Training/Discipleship – We believe Christians should always be receiving from someone older in the Lord and passing it on to someone younger. Our children and new believers are worthy of investment and should be trained to disciple others. We want to help each church family member discover the gifts the Holy Spirit has given them and use them to minister in the Body.“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”

– Ephesians 4:11-12

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.

– 2 Timothy 2:2

6. Evangelism – We are committed to reaching the lost, from friendship evangelism, to prayer walking neighborhoods and even an occasional massive outreach.“‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.’”

– Matthew 4:19
