If you remain in me and my words in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you. This is to my Father’s glory that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” John 15:5-8

How I came to Christ:
About two years ago, I was a completely different person than I am today. I rarely had quiet times, if ever, I had absolutely no consideration for others, and I really didn’t care if I was close to God or not.
But then about a year later Sarah Holland started going through the Arrival Kit with me. I soon started to see through all the garbage that I had let Satan fill my life up with. So since then I have been trying to get as close to Jesus as possible by having consistent quiet times, really getting into worship, and praying throughout the day. As I’ve grown closer to him I’ve noticed that I have personally become more self controlled in certain areas of my life. Also I’ve been more sensitive to people. I’ve been able to talk and comfort some of my close friends, giving good advice to them when needed. Now I’m not saying that I became perfect all of the sudden. It was really difficult. In fact it still is. I mean God really doesn’t want me to just get comfy, but to always have my heart and mind set on growing closer to him. And I never have to worry because Jesus will always put new situations in my life to train me to become more like him. Whether it’s my family’s financial problems, getting along with my siblings, struggling with character issues in my heart, or even getting over myself in order to be at peace with difficult people in my life. If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that God is always introducing new ways to help me grow in him, all I have to do is abide and listen to him.
