Guidelines for Worship Team

- Who We Are:
- Believers in Jesus
- Worshippers
- Committed members of Powerline
- Servants
- Who We Are NOT:
- Performers
- Stars of a show
- Our Role IS:
- Pleasing God with our Worship
- Being an example of wholehearted worship in Celebration services (clap, shout, sing, dance)
- Leading people in worship
- Evangelistic
- Building up worship team leader and other members
- Using our musical gifts/playing/singing skillfully
- Our Role is NOT:
- Evaluating the congregation
- Criticizing one another, the pastor, worship leader
- Entertaining people
- Requirements for Being Part of the Team:
- Daily Quiet Times (4-5 times a week minimum)
- Practice at home
- Committed members of church
- Committed members of a L.I.F.E. group
- High standards of personal purity
- Maintain unity with spouse, children, worship team, and church members
- Complete
The Arrival Kit
- Faithful in tithing
- Level of skill needed in singing/playing your instrument
- Requirements for Singing This Week:
- Attend practice
- Get to church and be on microphone or plugged in by time requested
- Have fulfilled requirements for being part of worship team this past week
- Maintained unity
- Guarded mouth
- Cultivate Love for God By:
- Worshipping in Quiet Times
- Meditating on Scripture
- Reading Bible devotionally
- Praying Psalms
- Listening to Praise and Worship CDs
- Cultivate Love for Brothers & Sisters at Powerline By:
- Praying for them
- Greeting them enthusiastically
- Calling them on the phone
- Showing Hospitality to them
- Thanking, complimenting and affirming them
- Serving them
- Cultivate Love for the Lost By:
- Praying for them
- Inviting them to church or socials
- Talking to and visiting them
- Showing hospitality
- Talking about Jesus
- Praying with them
